After reading numerous reviews of different electric blankets I decided to spend some extra money and give Beautyrest a try. The duvet itself was soft but very thin. The heating elements were easy to feel, but the biggest issue was that the blanket just didn't get very hot. The heating elements were also spaced out enough that I didn't feel warm around the edges of the blanket, and since it's so thin I was still cold underneath. Even at high altitude it wasn't very warm. The remote and cord were also very heavy and bulky. Send back. It is better to use a normal thick blanket.
