Excellent for outdoor or wet area connections. I use them in laundromat washers and external HVAC units when replacing parts with connectors. Factory plugs are notoriously defective and eventually corrode to the point where electrical problems continue to arise. very difficult to diagnose. To further improve reliability, apply some dielectric grease to the end of the socket before connecting the end of the pin when operating.
