Review on 🚴 Selle Royal Respiro Moderate Cool Xsenium Men's Bike Saddle by John Huskisson

Sit in the seat, don't drive

I've been driving for over 50 years. I drove from San Francisco to San Luis Obispo in the early 1970's and didn't see a single motorcyclist on that trip. The long days are long and can be stressful. On road bikes I used Brooks. They are tough and unforgiving. I've since switched (in my madness) to mountain biking as the wrist flexion required is not as painful as the flexion required in road biking. Mountain bikes have had a variety of seats, but seats have been a nuisance lately. At over 200 pounds, I pushed the seat back as far as I could on my large frame 29 inch mountain bike to reduce the discomfort, but to no avail. the seat rails are pushed back as far as possible in the seat clamp. This arrangement did not bring comfort and Thompson really needs to redesign the ability to adjust the rear seatpost so that it actually adjusts forward to your regular saddle. Anyway, the purchase of this Selle Royal Respiro Moderate saddle allows me (given Thompson's bad luck) to maintain a nose-down saddle position, which allows me to sit on the back of the saddle instead of riding the crotch rail. Yeah, remember what Lance said about the inconveniences of cycling? Lungs and heart, yes, that's how it should be... Perineum, no... I can't take it anymore. Update this review when it all resolves but so far so good.
