A few years ago we bought a Crosley speaker with an original iPod dock. Of course, technology has changed dramatically and this docking station is useless. We used an aux cable to connect to an iPad to play music. (I really like the Crosley sound quality, not our portable waterproof speaker.) I've wanted to buy a device like this for a long time so I can control my music wirelessly. All it took my son was to knock the iPad off the counter and ruin the cord while chasing his sister to try and change the song first so I jump on it. It was very easy to connect. The sound quality is just as good as with a wired connection. I'll update if I have battery life issues, but so far so good!
