So, as mentioned, these aren't loose shorts, which I think is a good thing (I wear a medium size with a waist of about 31 inches). I wear them comfortably around the house, wear them when I'm on the treadmill, and wear them to the gym, and I love them all three times. Since they're not dangling, my phone hugs my body more tightly, allowing me to use its pedometer while on the treadmill without rocking back and forth. In the gym I hang at certain points with my legs hanging high in the air which with other shorts can cause my leg to drop down to my squat which can be annoying but they stay in place without constraining. I also love them at home for just hanging around because they're nice and light and cool yet feel "durable" and high quality. I will take more in other colors.
