I used an Audio Technica M50x for gaming and they were very good headphones. After switching to true gaming headphones, it's been day and night. I was just blown away by how convenient and practical this thing is. Initially, the size of the on-ear cups seems awfully roomy, but you adjust quickly, and that's great. I really like being able to turn the microphone on and off at any time with the cable switch, which makes the headphones very convenient. The mixer amp is great for volume control, and the software's equalizer presets are pretty nice and easy to use. The headphones look fantastic and the sound quality is way better than what I expected from a pair of gaming headphones. They are comfortable enough to wear and play an unhealthy time without a headache. The music is ok but compared to some other headphones for listening to music I noticed that the songs lack certain audio frequencies but overall I think the product is reliable. The only downside for me is that the ear pads squeak, which really bothers me, but Amazon was kind enough to swap places and cross our fingers that this new pair doesn't squeak. Update: The new pair don't creak, I'm pretty sure this was an uncommon problem. and music not having certain frequencies wasn't a problem, I forgot I have certain settings for FPS games to sound like a bitch. So overall, the headset is worth 5 stars all day long.
