Surge protection and other safety features make it a good one.

I lost my internet connection which has prevented me from working on my computer. Confused, started, then lost again. After digging into this a few more times, I asked my husband what he thought we needed to do to make things work properly. Not long ago we had to replace the modem, so we concluded that the extension cord is no good this time. Of course I tried it in a few other areas and it was toast. We found a replacement part but were a bit nervous as it wasn't a surge protector. This power strip has surge protection so I quickly switched my electronics over to it when it arrived. surge protection. It can be used outdoors as it is waterproof but not waterproof. If water gets in, drain the water below, do not try to open the case. It has no serviceable parts and is designed to drain water. I like the shape of the extension. Instead of a long strip, this is a 7ยฝ"L x 3ยฝ"W x 1ยฝ"T box that fits the space better. The flat prongs fit without lifting the end of the extension like the plug-in does my last extension did. It's a little tricky to connect on purpose, so kids won't be shocked if they try to play with it. The power cord is two meters long, has six sockets and a master switch. It's a really good size to fit our computer desk. One thing I never think about when I get an extension cord is that when it's on the switch should indicate that it's on.It has a light so it's not has to be lifted and tilted to read the switch or plug something else in to see if it works This unit seems pretty solid and works well I recommend it.
