Review on MotoRad 2067-180 Engine Coolant Thermostat: Optimal Temperature Regulation for Efficient Engine Performance by Kevin Shimmens

Keep Calm Dude in Thermostats

Replaced the radiator on a 1998 Buick Century but the temp gauge was showing slightly higher than before and tended to overheat. I took a chance that was the problem (not the water pump) and yes it worked. Runs cooler and more stable now. The only downside was that on the Century it's buried in the back of the exhaust pipe, otherwise I would have changed it myself. It took a mechanic two hours to replace it. Thanks GM for bad design.

Pros
  • Increased strength and durability
Cons
  • Not everything fits
