I bought this with a 3" wide machine tile sharpener and a THINSET remover with a .401" shank! (3" X 7.5") for removing thin mass from the concrete slab after removing the tiles. I haven't used any other air hammers so I can't say how it compares to the more expensive or heavier ones. I don't know if this will be the contractor's first choice but for the price it worked great for me. He removed the flimsy sentence with very little effort. I've had to adjust the knob setting from time to time to keep it working well and you need a compressor big enough to keep it going. Overall, I definitely got my money's worth.
