In the 50's my mom would dip her hands in wax to help with arthritis. She melted the canning wax in an empty three-pound tin of Folgers in a saucepan of water. Thats much better. Sweet relief! The instructions suggest using hand lotion before waxing, but this is not required. Wax contains lotion and peels off easily. My mother slipped her waxed hands into the empty Wunderbrot wrapper. Plastic bags are included to keep your hands warmer for longer. I don't use them. I prefer to dip again if I start to cool down too quickly. The size of the device is good. You can flatten your hand, but it won't be too big in the pose. Not only does it help with my arthritis but also the tendon in my big toe. My therapist said I could dip paper in wax and put it on my shoulder, but I couldn't handle it. Hot wax is also good for my nails.
