I like the look and feel of this scale but unfortunately it is not accurate. The item's weight changes depending on which part of the platform you place it on. I weighed a nickel on it (5g) and depending on where it is on the scale it reads somewhere between 4g and 6g. If I pick up the nickel and drop it on the scale (just about an inch higher), it adds a gram each time. Very strange. I thought I might have just received a defective scale, so I replaced it with another and encountered the same problem. Unfortunately I have to return it and continue my search for an accurate baking scale.
