I had an old 17 inch square LCD monitor that still works fine. So I was hesitant to buy this monitor with the new rectangular form factor that monitors are now offering. I was pleasantly surprised and found that the new form factor is actually very comfortable for surfing the web. Now I don't have to scroll the screen horizontally to see entire web pages. Also, this VA2212M LED runs VERY cool and uses less power than my old 17 inch monitor. If your PC has an HDMI output, I highly recommend purchasing the HDMI to DVI adapter cable offered by Revain when placing your order. Experience the full 1080p resolution and picture quality of this monitor with this affordable cable. Otherwise, just use the VGA cable that came with your monitor. Another reviewer mentioned that this monitor has a wobbly base. I have a solid desk and haven't had any issues with the monitor wobbling or wobbling. I'm a bit of a perfectionist and have tweaked the picture settings. One very small issue: one of the image adjustment switches on my monitor had to be pressed a few times for it to work properly. The instructions for adjusting the image using the switches are brief, and it took me a bit of fiddling to figure out how to make very small adjustments to my image. Overall this monitor is great value for money and I'm glad I bought it. .
