Review on Non-Contact Infrared Digital Thermometer for Kids & Adults Forehead - Accurate Readings, No Touch Technology in White by Ryan Barton

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Only good through the ear!

I chose this thermometer for its economy and relatively good reviews. I left it because it was relatively economical and gave good results. If you want the highest level of accuracy, get something else (although I'm skeptical that any of these devices will have pinpoint accuracy)! But if you can tolerate a deviation of maybe 0.2-0.4 degrees (like this electronic scale) then it should work and give you an idea if you have a fever or not! The point is, DO NOT trust the function of the forehead. It doesn't work, at least for me. It's always a degree and a half colder than your ear reading, which always seems to hover around the normal 98.6! Basically it's your average, glorified ear thermometer that seems to be relatively accurate!

Pros
  • Infrared thermometer
Cons
  • Some bugs
