This is a REAL cat tray. I've used domed trays, self-cleaning trays, and mats that promise to pick up litter, and none of these have helped my messy kitties. This drawer is also easy to clean. Just open the drawer and scoop. Be careful not to overfill the drawer or the trash will spill onto the floor behind the drawer when you pull it out. There is one thing that I would have liked to see included in this tray as a bonus. It would be nice to have a hook on the side of the box for the cute little scoop they provide. You can always add it yourself, which I did! I had to make this litter box the only one available for my cats for a few days. They're not used to the fact that there's a one-way street and they don't jump up when they're done. I had to poke them in and give treats a few times just for coming in. Even my pickiest kitty settled down after a few days and I think he even feels more confident with the coverage it gives him. I can only recommend this litter box!
