Not perfect but very close

Overall I am happy with my purchase and I find it very useful when driving. I have a folding bike that I love but limits my choice of mirrors. I've tried several that attach to goggles or helmets, but couldn't find any that fit; Also, I was always afraid that they would fall as soon as I hit a bump in the road. I decided Myklops was my best bet. As others have pointed out, the objects in this review are a hell of a lot closer than they appear. But I'm used to it and I find the mirror very useful for keeping an eye on cars, trucks and other large vehicles in traffic. For detecting other bikes, skateboarders, and standing scooter riders (scooters?) it's not that useful. Because they are smaller, they are usually clearly visible to me before noticing them in the mirror. Fortunately, this is not usually a problem. The situation is ambivalent when it comes to motorcycles and mopeds/scooters. The bigger they are, the easier it is to see them in the mirror. Usually the first thing I notice is the sound of their engines and then I know to look for them in the mirror. So this mirror is useful, but not as much as I would like. It's hard to speak of durability unless it's been a long time, but I've been using it regularly for over six weeks now and throw it in bags when needed. Don't ride with him and he'll hold on. I find the lid a little awkward to close, but with a little patience it snaps into place. The biggest problem was remembering to put my hands back in the base before removing my backpack once I got where I was going, but that's pilot error on my part. I don't jerk my arms or twist them too much, but I'm not very gentle with them either. They look the same as they did without the packaging so I hope they last a while. In terms of stability, I find the mirror very stable when I have my arms outstretched and positioned the way I like. . The strap sometimes shifts around my wrist while riding, but I don't think this is a product defect. I usually wear long-sleeved shirts, which are often a bit loose, so I have to be more careful to smooth them out and prevent them from fraying before I buckle the strap. When I wear shorter sleeves and tighter sunscreen gloves, the band stays in place. I am also very pleased that the Velcro on the belt is gentle. By that I mean he doesn't have the big teeth that often ruin my clothes. Although I'm careful I will sometimes get snagged on it with clothes, but so far (touch the wood) it hasn't caused the fabric to pill or tear. and I'm talking about fairly delicate materials, so that's a big bonus. I think it's impossible to make a perfect mirror that fits all my driving needs. But it's damn close. Oddly enough, as I sat down to write this review, I noticed that there is currently a small, small discount, no doubt for Black Friday/Cyber Monday/or other seasonal holiday around here. I paid full price for mine, but I'm fine with that. At full price I feel I got my money's worth and will definitely buy again.
