It's hard to figure out how to get it to heat up. I have used it 3 times. no more heat

I liked that it was cordless and only 20 cm long. After charging (it takes about 12 hours), it only took 30 seconds to warm up. It has 2 connector sizes, a regular USB and one that looks like the small one I have on my phone. But even if it looks the same, it's not. This is too little. So my phone's 6ft cord won't fit. And I can't find a USB cable with a large end on both ends: one into the curling iron and the other into the outlet. So I have to charge it with a 30 inch cord on the stove next to an outlet. I could only use it 3 times. It no longer charges or heats up. And whoever translated the pamphlet must have been an Oriental. Directions must be translated by an American.
