Get one of these, plus a 12V 7Ah sealed alarm battery and a 12V 10W LED spotlight. You will also need some battery connectors. Put it all together and you have automatic lighting in your barn that will last for many months on a single charge. With this sensor, you'll never forget to turn off the light, so you don't constantly drain your battery. About every 4-6 months I disconnect the battery in the shed and plug it into the charger I have in the garage. Charge overnight and it's ready for another 4-6 months to fully light my stable.
