Review on Apoxie Sculpt White Modeling Compound (A & B) - 4 Pound: Versatile 2-Part Artistic Material For Detailed Sculpting by Kim Sanchez

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Also great for beginners

Easy to sculpt and cures in a few hours (best for small projects or small patches at a time) but you can mix a reasonable amount in a few "inches" at a time to work with. Cures to a VERY good solid product! can be painted until completely dry. Why 4 stars? instead of 5? I bought Apoxi and it was smooth and beautiful. Then within 2 months it got a little gritty and a bit difficult to work with - I called the company, the gentleman told me to send photos and a message and the lady would check it out and most likely they would send me a new one Send items, we agreed that I will send the pictures within 15 minutes. I did and haven't heard from them (it's been 3 weeks already). BUT I know that not all products are stored for a long time after opening, so I won't rush the topic. Also, I ordered "WHITE" Apoxia and it is NOT white (but labeled as WHITE), more of a light gray (the person on the phone said it shouldn't be, he said it should be a bit off). -white (I also sent photos of the color), but overall the product is EXCELLENT. Simply use within 4-5 weeks after opening. Other reviews I've read said it lasts a long time once opened, but that's not my thing. Experience. I'm in Idaho with a fairly dry climate and the product was kept indoors so the temperature was fairly constant. I would buy it again due to the ease of use of the product and the quality of the product after drying.

Pros
  • Strong adhesive power - because it sticks to almost any surface, it's great for shaping, decorating, gluing and filling in just about any project!
Cons
  • Not sure
