Do you have family, friends or colleagues who don't understand why you are so passionate about microcontrollers, IoT, manufacturers, etc.? Here's a simple solution: set up a NEOPixel demo sketch, power it up with a 9V battery, and transfer data from a small Arduino. The light show and brightness will amaze you. Because it's not one long strip, you get a very interesting effect, and small code changes that show how easy it is to manipulate templates will inspire other programmers that even they can do it. Damn I think this way I could make money selling Christmas lighting solutions :D Easy to use and demo. The only downside is the huge wires connecting each ring. Obviously the rings aren't really meant for use in the supplied rig, but you have very thick, high current wires and you can use this rig even if you take the rings apart without having to solder your own wires. They are simply "huge" in the compact form in which they are presented.
