First of all it didn't fit my wheels. The plastic needs to be heated in warm water and then stretched. As the plastic cools, it is pressed tightly against the rim. There was no indication, I had to find out for myself. When I finally put it on the wheel it got cold and warped out of the slot as it cooled. A lot of work without result. Seems to be a quality product but not worth it. Because the thing warped, my rim also started to flex noticeably after I straightened the wheel. You can find cheaper, simpler, better quality rim tape on Amazon.
