It took me a while to figure out how to zip this thing up at first as there were no instructions included. The shape didn't make it obvious as things didn't really fit together until I finally snapped one of the zippers. It may be easier for others, but for me it was a challenge. At the time it seemed interesting, maybe good for a very obedient kitten. My cat would have nothing to do with it. No chance. The vents are reasonable and if you close it, it's not the worst thing in the world. If it were possible I would give 2.5 stars but rounding down due to lack of instructions. I've used it as a beach bag a few times as the holes prevent wet items from getting moldy but I wouldn't recommend it as a cat carrier unless your cat really likes that type of space.
