This is the perfect bag for storing and protecting your crib mattress. I have used this when my son is ready to upgrade from his crib to twins. We will keep his old mattress in case we have another baby, but I needed a way to keep the mattress safe until then. The protective size fits a standard crib mattress about 7 inches deep. You can deflate to keep the mattress slightly compressed. BUT…. You can only roll a mattress if you have a memory foam mattress and not a box spring. I have a box spring mattress and while I fully understand that it cannot be rolled up, the description doesn't say it has to be memory foam only. That should actually be said so that someone with an innerspring mattress is not misled. Anyway, I was only given this protector to cover the mattress so it would serve its purpose. No complaints.
