First of all, this vest works. This is the third anxiety vest I have tried for my high anxiety dog. Thunderstorms scare her. Car flashes, fireworks and all loud noises scare her. Living in South Carolina, we get thunderstorms every day during the summer. The first day after this vest arrived, she was shaking so much that I had a really hard time putting this vest on her. I sort of found out about her as she was twisted and all wrong. On the second day, I caught her fear earlier and she became more accommodating. This product must be accompanied by instructions. Velcro is super strong. The lightning idea is awesome. She is a Golden Retriever mix and weighs 65 pounds. I bought them 2x. The zip-up vest is tight but comfortable for her. The wrap-around is free BUT IT WORKS! She calmed down and went to sleep. She feels a drop in atmospheric pressure and feels reassured by the secure packaging. I also recommend an over-ear sweatshirt as it will block out some of the noise. worth your money!
