Bought two to aim the lightbulb at the mural. This extender's swivel range is adjustable by just over 180 degrees, making it perfect for your needs when you need to direct light into an area of focus. In general, the device does not stand out in any way, most of my relatives did not notice the device after several visits, one of them wrote a comment a year after installation and asked if I received it. The reason for the 3/5 rating is that a fixture just stopped working almost 2 years after purchase, even with a new bulb, it didn't shine. I even swapped out two units I bought for a different hi-hat, but the broken one still didn't work. I opened up the extension cord, didn't see any loose wires, at least where the bulb goes in. So I buy a new one as a replacement. Despite the price I would expect this to work for years instead of failing in 2 years.
