Review on Superior Performance Espresso Machine: Gaggia RI9380/46 Classic Pro, Brushed Stainless Steel by Roger Diaz

I would like to give it at least 2 stars as it made really good espresso while it was working but unfortunately the explosion of the boiling water, puffs of smoke and broken circuits kind of make me wonder. While it worked, it was a dream. Not very easy to use, but simple enough given its power and purpose. It's definitely a machine tool, not a jig, which is why I wanted it. I figured that given the brand's history and the reviews, I was well-equipped for my needs at home. However, given what happened this morning, I cannot and will not recommend it. I had preheated the device with a portafilter. I wanted to take it off to dose the grind and it literally exploded. Water sprayed from all over the top of the device (and onto me too, thank goodness for my heavy robe) as it then began to smoke heavily. I understand there may be a defect and I have a guarantee, but I will not allow a product that failed so epicly and shook me to the core ever to come online again. Gaggia is over for me.
