As others have said. This box does its job after you've sealed the air gaps in and out of the box. I put the seal in because the screen doesn't touch the back of the box (so the lint goes straight through). I wrapped aluminum tape around all the gaskets and the ins and outs where they (didn't) fit against the box. I also had to find a way to keep the front air tight to the box. I used bungees to create closing pressure and additional seals to prevent air leaks. I also had to seal the edge of the plastic window with foil from the inside to keep the air out. Again. after putting all my time and attention into it. it seems to work. But I didn't have to do any of that. Poor manufacturing process and design. I wanted to buy a fan. but now I doubt because it is the same manufacturer.
