Favorite Best in Kitchen & Dining Napkins

These are my favorite napkins and I have bought them for both everyday use and our holiday table. They arrived quickly and in excellent condition, color batches matched the three packs. I washed them before use and the orange is nice and soft but not boring. Admittedly it was more than I wanted to pay but the quality is there and having always used cloth napkins for our family I can find a good one. I like linen, cotton or linen-cotton blends because they not only look great but wash well too. I've found that polyester tends to hold on to greasy stains, even after washing, while natural fibers don't. Restaurants often use polyester, but they also have access to commercial detergents and cleaning products, so stains aren't a big problem for them. I also like the beveled corner. As a seamstress, I know how a piece can make a big difference in its overall effect, and the extra time it takes to make a beveled corner is more expensive. It makes the napkin look smoother and neater with a professional finish. Fabric that has been folded at an angle often looks lumpy and uneven and often has loose threads. As for ironing, I don't do it. I just don't have many heartbeats left. My millennial daughter convinced me to keep it simple and that the slightly relaxed, crumpled effect actually looks pretty good on my desk. If they tell us the queen is coming to dinner, I'll pet them. So far, in over 40 years of frequenting our table with family and friends, she has not appeared. If she ever does I think she will love these towels.
