Great for close work, not great for reading

I bought the 4x version some time ago, and just purchased the 5x version. I have been surprised at how much better these glasses are than trying to manipulate a magnifying glass. When you need to see something tiny, and it helps to have both hands free, these are a must. For example, threading a needle, or trying to remove a small splinter with tweezers. The lenses seem to be good quality, and the frames are sturdy. I find them quite comfortable, but your mileage may vary. The glasses have a…

Pros

Cons
  • Could make it difficult to read text on certain colored backgrounds

Didn’t work for mom

I ordered the for my 94 year old Mom who is losing her vision. These unfortunately didn’t work for HER, but they may work for you.

Pros
  • Confirms my de ions and previous choices, good producr
Cons
  • May distort peripheral vision

Guessing which ones you need is difficult

These magnifiers are exactly as described . They are clear and heavy duty which is grea tfor those of us rated higher on the clumsy scale. I needed magnification for tig welding and fishing. I bought the 5 power glasses but they put me a little too close to my work and actually too close for tying on lures too. I just ordered 2 pair of the 4's, confident that that is what I need. One pair for the shop and one pair for my tackle box. 8-)

Pros
  • Nice looking design and large lens
Cons
  • May not be available in prescription strengths

Comfortable Reading Fine Print from 7 to 14 Inches Away

I purchased 4.0 High Magnification Power Readers. They have about an 8” focal length and I’m comfortable reading fine print on the page from 7 to 14 inches away.My computer screen is about 22 inches away, and the 4.0 High Magnification Power Readers are blurry to me at that distance, so I’m more comfortable using my 2.5+ reading glasses when I’m on the computer.I purchased these magnifying glasses so it would be easier for me to read books with fine print and they work great for that. They also

Pros
  • The shorts were a little tight. Since they’re manufactured in China they not equivalent to our sizes
Cons
  • good for phone or tablet. not good for computer or watching tv.

Bought this as a gift for person to use for determining fine detail on cross stitch graphs and for finding errors on stitched graphs. Also helpful in reading fine print. This has worked well! Please note though that depth of field (how far items are in focus) is a very short distance and is good for only closely held work.

Pros
  • Bulky but functional.
Cons
  • Could cause shadows or double vision

Very pleased with the quality of the product, and the cost

I have impaired vision, in fact my ophthalmologist has said I can be classed as both clinically and legally blind. The hog mag glasses give me the opportunity to read books, newspapers rtc, just like anybody else. Thank you for mama difference.

Pros
  • October 4, 2016
Cons
  • May not be suitable for people with astigmatism

Good for very specific uses

I bought these for working on tiny electronic parts on circuit boards. They are good for that purpose, but you should know their limitation: you have to move within 6-8 inches of the work for them to focus. If you can do that, they work well. In camera terms, they are close focusing with a very limited depth of field.I normally wear 2.0 readers for reading and other chores, as a reference, and those don't have a significant distance limitation--you can be two feet away from a book or much…

Pros
  • These glasses are versatile and can be used for tasks requiring magnification, such as sewing, crafting, or repairing small objects
Cons
  • Might make it difficult to read small text or numbers

I'm hard on glasses but these are sturdy and +4.0

It's hard to find +4.0 or higher reading glasses in retail stores so ordered two pairs and could not be happier. I've bought readers that cost 3-4 times as much and like these better. I'm very hard on glasses as I use them in the my work and these are very sturdy especially for the price. The temples are hinged and very forgiving when bent out of shape. The lens quality is not perfect but its good enough. Great buy!

Pros
  • Very good distribution, and good value for the money!!I have brought before and many more to come
Cons
  • The magnification power may not be suitable for certain tasks

+ 6 diopter not 6 x magnification

Felt rather cheap, but they are kind of cheap. Seems like if what you needed was +6 dpt they’d be fine. I needed six times. Description was unclear

Pros
  • Health & Household
Cons
  • Can cause decrease in depth perception

Futures so bright ya gotta wear reading glasses

Solid but flexible. Definitely can see the future with the 5x magnification. You will need to be within 4-6 inches of whatever you are looking at. Please do not stare into the sun with these.

Pros
  • Articulated nose pads, spring hinge temples, and adjustable ear pieces ensure a perfect fit and maximum comfort for all face shapes and sizes
Cons
  • May not provide a strong enough magnification for some tasks

really grateful for these

we thought that my 89 yo ma, an avid reader, might finally need scrip (prescription) glasses, but i thought let me try this one last thing. in our local stores they have up to 4 magnification i think, def not 5. eureka! worked! will be in line for the 6 if/when needed.

Pros
  • Just what I wanted
Cons
  • Frames are very heavy and thick but they work for reading notes at the table.

Expectations can disappoint.

The product was delivered 3 days before the advised date. Unfortunately while there was nothing wrong with the item it was not exactly what was required.

Pros
  • I had purchased for someone else.
Cons
  • I needed more powerful magnification and these were fine, o distortion like some readers crate.

Important to have a few of these

I don't know why I didn't try to get some of these before! Perfect for having on the work bench, for that close up work you need to do. Better than holding a magnify glass, really is handy when working on all sorts of things. At this price, everyone should have a couple pairs. I got the 5 power, that was great for me.

Pros
  • Bought these for an elderly relative and they're quite pleased.
Cons
  • Might feel too heavy on your face

Well worth it good for me

I ordered 2 pairs of these glasses. These are just as powerful as my other glasses but these look good on me. The other one makes me look like a keeper. Thss was e glasses are great they are somewhat durable. I suggest getting g a few pair they are that good. I wish they had some glasses with an even stronger magnification . I will say you’re not wasting money purchasing these .

Pros
  • ok
Cons
  • Can cause headaches or dizziness
