I bought these for working on tiny electronic parts on circuit boards. They are good for that purpose, but you should know their limitation: you have to move within 6-8 inches of the work for them to focus. If you can do that, they work well. In camera terms, they are close focusing with a very limited depth of field.I normally wear 2.0 readers for reading and other chores, as a reference, and those don't have a significant distance limitation--you can be two feet away from a book or much closer and they still work.
