Review on Tan Seat Wedge Cup Holder by Custom Accessories 91127 by Jonathan Germain

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Functional, practical and affordable!

I have a 2012 Toyota Rav4 and this model has a poorly designed cup mounting system that does not fit most mugs/cups. Even the cup holder insert it came with kept falling out and I ended up losing it (and that insert alone cost over $20). So I decided to search for a universal drink holder and came across this one. It feels bulky, but if your car is short on space, it might be worth the investment. I put it on the passenger seat and I love it. The depth of the cup holder is perfect to keep cups from falling over (I even tried my 34 ounce water bottle, which stayed in place when rotated). Smaller mugs (like the 12 ounce mug in the photo) will sit fairly securely. I also placed the cup holder in my (driver's) seat and was able to drive comfortably without the cup holder distracting me. But since I'm usually the only person in an SUV, I opted for a different seat. This cup holder may not suit you if you are worried about its vanity. If you're overweight and there's barely enough room on the console to fit in, I wouldn't recommend it as it can put pressure on your thigh, which can be uncomfortable.

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Very expensive
