This is for the 4.1 gallon tank that arrived today. Calculated as a 10 inch cube but this is an approximation. In fact, it's metric, 25 centimeters along each edge. These 25 cm are correct according to my measuring tape. In inches it's 9.84 in case anyone cares about the difference but I don't. The thickness of the glass is 5 millimeters according to my real measurements. It was packed very well. When it arrived, one edge of the box was crumpled, which bothered me. However, there are no problems. Inside the box, the aquarium was protected by a top cover, bottom cover and hard edge protectors surrounded by a thick layer of styrofoam peanuts. So the aquarium was fine despite the crumpled cardboard. Styrofoam peanuts are annoying with static electricity and flinging off the smallest particles, but they're great at protection, and that's the main thing. The aquarium looks perfect. I examined it very carefully, all the sides, the bottom, all the edges, both visually and by running my fingertips over the edges. No bumps or bumps, no issues at all that I could find. Perfect. When I chased for tiny styrofoam particles with a damp paper towel, I noticed that the glass was sparkling clean. This is what the whole aquarium looks like, a flawless cube of crystal clear glass. He passed the first exam with distinction. I'll be testing it for leaks over the next few days by adding some distilled water from time to time. Judging by how well made it is I don't expect any problems but if it does leak I will edit it and let people know. I think my Betta will be a happy backpacker soon.
