Maybe I'm too sensitive to such devices because every time I try these hair removal products I cringe. Even on the lowest setting I can feel a noticeable pain, but it does its job of removing hair. I would recommend running on the lowest setting and increasing the power to be as safe as possible. I don't have any scars or anything, no red marks or bruises, but I really need to get used to it. It's easy enough to use, set it up however you like, and I've had no trouble charging it or turning it off during use.
