I love them so much that after we moved and lost one of our previous ones, I bought new ones! These are the best things since sliced bread. Serious! The bungee cord that attaches to it is really great and very durable. The clips are strong metal, like "alligator clips" if anyone knows what that is. They open and then you can pinch them to prevent them from opening and releasing the leaf. With the black plastic part in the middle, you can tighten or loosen the cord and make it tighter or looser. They hold up pretty well and you can adjust the sheets every time you put the sheets on. You clamp a piece of metal to one side of the corner and then another piece of metal to the other side of the corner of the sheets. You can do this before or after you put the sheets on, but I recommend doing this afterwards as it can stretch the elastic on the sheet a lot if you do it sooner. Once you have the clamps in place, you can tension the bungee cord to the desired tension and then release. I have only used two clips for a fitted sheet in the past and it has held the sheet fantastically. I plan to only use two clips in the future and I will be attaching two clips to the top of the mattress where the pillows attach. They didn't even last a night! I kept them to myself but only moved them around when I was washing or removing new sheets from the closet. They were just taking up space, so I donated them. They were so useless! These bands are the best and I honestly refuse to use any of the others. Trust me when I say that while there are cheaper options, they are worth it!
