Works for me! - Lab showers

Great product, works as it should. I use this to cool down when I have migraines or sinus headaches and it works! I don't like using cold compresses for headaches because they seem to make them worse. I dampen a towel with cold tap water, wring it out and fold it in half, then place the towel over my forehead, eyes and sinuses. I also use this when I'm hot after work or in the car. Instant relief! I bought 3 different brands of cooling towels (Chill-its, Frogg Togg and Mission EnduraCool) to try and I liked Chill-Its the best: light weight, not like a wet towel or too spongy in texture, was the second coldest towel of 3 brands and stayed cool at least in over 80's and in high humidity (I live in Hawaii) for a couple of hours before needing to be recharged/wetted. It doesn't have a strong odor as some reviewers claim, at least not IME, has a suede-like fabric texture both wet and dry (almost like car suedes, but they don't keep you cool like Chill-It, I tried out of curiosity) and is easy to care for - simply wash with a mild detergent (preferably unscented) and hang to dry, then store in the case or refrigerate the case damp as recommended by the manufacturer. longer colder. Reasonably priced and the cheapest of the 3 - less than $9. In my opinion, Frogg Toggs came a close second: it was the coldest of the 3 brands I tried and stayed cold the longest. However, it was the heaviest of the three towels, and the first time I washed it, blue dye appeared on it (I had a uni blue); initially has a slightly spongy texture and smells like latex. Frogg Togg was priced at $10 and up. My brother got the hang of it straight away and recently used it at a handgun competition where he was nice, cool and comfortable the whole time. My least favorite was the Mission EnduraCool towel, I bought it at a local sporting goods store where it was the only cooling towel available. I wasn't impressed, it felt like a regular wet towel, after following the instructions even tried cold water and flipped it a few more times with no noticeable difference in the cold (just cooled with cold water, but warmed up quickly for half inside). one hour). It was the second most wet/damp of the three towels I tried, it was wet even when wrung well and had a slight chemical smell. It has a nice silky feel and is the least auto trim fabric of the 3 brands, was ready to use/wet straight out of the case (the other 2 brands need to be washed first before use) but that was all it had for it. It was the most expensive, over $20 + sales tax, but I needed cooling towels at the last minute to ship with my parents who were overseas at the time. I will definitely buy a Chill-Its towel again if I need another. cooling towel.
