I was about to hang a hand drawn family portrait from almost 25 years ago when I noticed the artwork was askew in the frame. a frame that reveals the old fabric strap that held the picture to the carpet. I opened the frame to straighten the portrait, but the tape has lost its grip. I ordered them to reorient a portrait and they worked great. I cut 3-4 strips in half and trim as needed if necessary. I glued the portrait to the passe-partout, cleaned the frame and glass and put everything back together. Looks great like new. A box of sixty strips was overkill for this particular job, but I wanted something reliable and acid-free. The strips work very simply. There is a rigid clear sheet covering the pattern and a sticky half that attaches the strip to the mat. No glue should ever touch the artwork. The strips held the rather large portrait perfectly in place as I reassembled the frame. I strongly believe that it will protect the image as well or even better than the previous tape.
