Has some pros Direct stimulation of the brain with intense sound. It does a good job of dampening ambient noise, but other than that, I can't say whether that's a bonus or a minus because it's pretty risky. Having this drawback: After being used carefully for a number of months, the shackle finally gave out. Although it is not life-threatening, the collar now hangs crookedly on the neck.
