Awesome safety razor for beginners. I chose this for my first safety razor because I heard it was soft and the price was so low I wouldn't feel guilty if I didn't enjoy the shave. I couldn't be happier. The butterfly mechanism made it easy to change blades and I had a very close shave with no nicks on the first try. After trying several blades I will say that you need to use sharper blades to get the best shave as this razor is very soft but you can do so without worrying about scratching your face.
