I bought this clipper because I needed to cut my own hair that was too long. I was very scared as I had never done this before and although the clippers arrived fully charged and well packaged with all accessories, there are no instructions on how to cut the hair just care and safety information. I watched YouTube videos and found some good text instructions. I attached a medium length lead and started. To my great surprise - when used correctly, with changing fading guides etc. and with a longer blade on top - the clippers worked flawlessly. Alixane clippers are very comfortable to hold and have a good weight: they have a dirty feel and are well designed. This device made cutting my own hair an absolute breeze, taking no more than half an hour the first time. I was even able to achieve a very clean result around the ears and the back of the head without having to laboriously reach for scissors. Delighted with this purchase and highly recommend.
