Surprisingly complex
We bought this to spend the summer with an 8 year old girl and a 4 year old boy. It's incredibly difficult! We basically let the little boy stand over the hats for his shots lol. Since we don't set any fixed rules, but just have fun with them, they definitely serve their purpose very well. If someone wanted to play a SERIOUS game with them, honestly it might be too hard.
