I was skeptical as I've used BT keyboards in the past with mixed results. It gave me a much better experience. Pairing was the easiest I've ever experienced. The connection was pretty fast too. Being Bluetooth, there were some quirks, but nothing major. Physically, the Galaxy Tab has a slot in the case where it needs to be securely inserted. If you don't press hard enough, the tab may be loose at the top or closer to it. Used correctly, it stays in the slot very well. Unlike other keyboard cases, the keyboard is literally built into the case. There is no chance that it will fall out and get damaged. The case itself is aircraft-grade aluminum with a raised lip to protect the exposed keyboard. Thanks to the cut-outs, which I will come back to later, the lip does not get in the way when using the keyboard. The kit includes additional rubber pads that can be used to protect furniture when using the keyboard. When not in use, the keyboard can partially be used as a tablet case. Rubber-lined aluminum body with angled handles. The tablet ships face down. There are cutouts on the top for connecting the charger, so the buttons and headphone jack are also exposed. In this configuration, the back of the tablet and the rear camera are open. And the cutout for the top of the tablet is on the front of the keyboard, minimizing an annoying lip when typing when the keyboard is in use. It's the part of the fuselage that brings this to 4 stars. There should at least be a protective film for the back of the tablet, as this is exposed. And the protective film is still needed. In this case, the tablet doesn't hold as tightly as we would like. I suspect that if you fall heavily, the tablet will jump out. I have a zippered case from my old netbook that keeps everything together very well. This protects both and keeps them together when not in use. A suitcase should be an essential accessory for extra protection. Overall, the keyboard's performance is above average, but the case's design has some weaknesses. From a design point of view, it performs very well in all areas. I think Logitech and Zagg made some compromises in terms of design and cost. A fully articulated aluminum body would have been more protective, but too utilitarian for everyone's taste. And the product would be more expensive. The Compromise does its job very well and looks good. One note - while the keyboard is not fully functional with the Blackberry Playbook, it matches the Playbook very well.
