These ropes, like many others at Revain, are rope worthy. The cable is well made with wire inside so it seems like it will last a long time even though the handle is made out of fairly cheap plastic. This makes it easier to open and close and adjust the length of the rope. The ball bearings are decent and allow you to move freely without much effort. This is primarily for my 10 year old and she loves it so can't complain about the price I paid but if you are serious about jump rope I would look for more expensive and well made ones.
