If all things were as easy to assemble as these chairs, my wife and I would never have an assembly problem. Usually when building an item she has to read the instructions and help me figure out what to hold, lift, move or do perfectly as I'm an idiot when it comes to putting things together. Your disappointment is well deserved, of course, and any bruises I have from thrown hammers or screwdrivers are well deserved, but not these chairs! Four screws had to be screwed in! FOUR! That's right, not one, not two or three, but FOUR! She did the hard work of screwing them in with the included Allen key (a term she taught me and I hope I spelled it right). I made a simple lift by placing the tops of the chairs in their slots (we bought two). The packaging was more difficult to open than to assemble, which was only a sign of well-packaged items. The chairs look great and are very comfortable. They wobble a bit but I'm not worried about them falling off like I did with our old chairs that were difficult to put together. I want to buy more although it is not necessary because it has brought us closer in our marriage. We sit on it together until old age, sip drinks at our table and snack on delicacies. I'll see if this company makes other products so we can reassemble them!
