The ICS system consists of many parts that must work together to achieve the desired result. It seems this requires all parts to remain in the correct position. The removable insole has gel discs glued to the underside of the sole in the heel area. These discs on both feet fell out of position in the first week of wear. This should never happen when quality design is at the heart of the manufacturing process. I've seen reviews of other shoes that have fallen apart in various places. All of these other complaints also raise questions about whether Bates' quality control efforts are as they should be.
