They were bought for everyday use and will not be used for skateboarding or sports (walking only). I was very annoyed that a month after buying the rubber edge at the bottom separated from the rubber at the bottom of the sole and from the fabric at the top in 2-3 different places. I didn't expect such poor quality from an $80 shoe with a "good" reputation for durability. It's the dead of winter and snow outside so haven't even seen as much hiking/activity as in the warmer seasons. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone, but if you're keen, shop for Shoe Goo too.
