Review on Spode Blue Italian Dinnerware Set by David Sokolov

Spode Blue Italian has been a favorite pattern since I was little because my parents made it

Spode Blue Italian has been a favorite pattern since I was little because my parents made it and only used it on special occasions like birthdays and on ours Table appeared Christmas. I inherited Blue Italian from my mother when she died and I really appreciate her rate but I had to increase it to 12 rates. Blue Italian is an old pattern - it turned 200 years old in 2016 - and minor changes have been made to it since its inception, although the basic pattern has never changed. My new 12 piece set is just as beautiful as my mother's old pieces (bought in the 1930's). The main difference between her pieces and mine is the thickness of the porcelain - her pieces were slightly thinner. My only disappointment is that the items I just bought were made in China and not British potteries. I don't know if that applies to all modern blue Italian pieces available now.

Pros
  • Pretty impressive
Cons
  • boring packaging
