Admittedly I haven't had it very long but I won't be tuning it much (if at all, really) as it's set up to hold the reflective shield. It will most likely stay where it is for a very, very long time. For a microphone, this is a pretty good stand. Don't expect it to work for a large LDC (6-10 lbs/3-5 kg) as it's not quite up to the task, but for a small mic it's pretty good. As mentioned, I attached a reflective shield to it, which is fine as long as you don't actually extend the handle section. If you lengthen it, the approximately 1kg shield will be poorly supported and the section will flex quite a bit under the weight. I'm lucky it's not a deal breaker for me as I can attach the top of the stand to my wall (due to the proximity) and it's fine. Again, I'm not going to move this thing from place to place. So if you need to use it for a small mic (like the SM58) then you're good to go. Get something big, heavy and with a side shock and it might not be the best for you. I'm giving 4 stars as I think it's good for the price if you know what you're getting into and it suits your needs.
