Review on Sizzix Magnetic Platform for Wafer-Thin Dies 656499: 🌈 Enhance Your Crafting with Multi Color and One-Size Convenience by Hannah Curi

I bought this Sizzix Multi Color Thin Plate magnetic board 656499 a few weeks ago and yesterday I finally had time to experiment with it. I have some very nicely decorated hearts, butterflies and frame stamps. But I couldn't get the whole cube to cut out all the cubes. So much waste of paper and time. Very frustrating! I have Sizzix Big Shot Plus. I've found that with a small magnetic board, heavy scrapbooking paper, and blueberry plates, I can successfully cut out these beautiful decorative stamps. It takes extra time, but it's worth it. Here are the steps I take: I cut the thick scrapbooking paper to fit the magnetic board. I use 2 flat Blueberry boards that have the same curves but are as flat as possible. With the "sandwich" the magnetic board is placed face up on the Big Shot Plus. Then place a blueberry plate on the magnetic board. Place thick paper across the center of the paper. Then place the decorative cube face down on the paper. Place another blueberry plate in the middle of the magnetic board and the first blueberry plate. Then I thread the sandwich vertically through the center of the Big Shot Plus and also wrap it up again. I repeat this 2-3 times. I hold the whole "sandwich" together and flip it horizontally, which fits perfectly edge-to-edge in a 9-inch Big Shot Plus hole. I drive the "sandwich" back and forth through the car. I remove the Blueberry top plate. I take the cube with the thick paper still attached to the cube. I check the paper very carefully to see if there is room to trim. If there is still an area that needs to be cut out, I use another set of Blueberry flat sheets and repeat the process, being careful not to let the paper move out of the decorative die. Good luck and don't waste paper. Gorgeous decorative frames, hearts and butterflies. I am very satisfied with this small magnetic board. The magnet is really strong.
