I started using old fashioned safety razors almost a year ago. I decided to try a bunch of samplers to see if there were better razors out there. I found that not every face is made equal, and neither are razor blades. My friend loves Feder and Astra blades. My experience is slightly different. Due to my work schedule, I have four days off in a row, so I have to mine quite a bit of money every week. I've found my face likes the Feather Blades but likes the Shark and Astra Blades. With Astra blades I can comfortably shave for four days with one blade. I can't do that with other blades. The She Shark blades are great but not as good as the Astra. In short, try patterns to see what suits your face best. If you are just starting out with a safety razor, remember that it takes a long time to learn. You'll bleed, but if you stick to it, you'll get through it. I hope this review is helpful to some of you.
