Knobs are fairly easy to apply. The hardest part was taking the controller apart. The front panel buttons are perfect for my 1st gen JDM-001 controller. However, the TouchPad had to be adjusted as the sides were too tall to fit in the plastic cover that needs to be inside on the small electronics board. So I cut the plastic cover to make it narrower. The L2 and R2 buttons don't match at all. Maybe I can sand them down to fit, I don't know yet. I don't know the R1-L1 buttons yet, they seem to fit, but I didn't manage to close the controller completely until I adjusted the R2, L2 buttons. I bought R2, L2 buttons, really fit for 1st gen. I would say unless you need replacement buttons that actually fit the models described. Don't worry, it's just cheap painted plastic and not real chrome metal. They look great but you can just buy chrome spray paint and do it yourself or use nail polish.
