Tried two of these in stereo pair mode and was disappointed. Perceptible but weak bass makes the SRS-XB41 sound like it's underwater. The speaker is loud, but bass-heavy music is unsatisfactory. Bad high frequencies make drum hits sound flat instead of crisp. Simply put, the app is an unacceptable exercise in frustration. The awful app has poorly designed settings menus that move slowly and intermittently fail to find the speaker, although the Bluetooth connection is otherwise working. Changes to settings via the app are often not applied and/or automatically reset when other settings are changed, and it's difficult to verify that every setting is hidden in a different menu. when placed next to a basic low-end speaker like the $35-$50 AOMAIS GO. In comparison, Sony's build quality and initial user experience (stereo pair setup) are much better. The sound initially felt much fuller, with more bass, and the Sony is much louder. However, Sony has spoiled the crisp drumbeats - they actually sounded better on cheap AOMAIS. Overall, for the price, I can't recommend them.
